WOW.
Where do I even begin?! There are so many people to thank that it's hard to know where to begin! First and foremost (even thought it may seem cliché), thank you to my troop leader, number one supporter, editor and Mom-- I couldn't have done this without you! Thank you for helping me every step of this journey (all the way from when I decided I was going to earn my Gold Award when I was a Daisy). Thank you for brainstorming with me, and helping me make decisions.
Also a huge thank you to my Gold Award Committee Mentor, Jennipher: thank you for your dedication to helping us make the world a better place through your hours of dedication, encouragement, and helping us through this process. Thank you for being detail-oriented and helping make sure my project helped as many people as possible and was the best it could be.
Another giant word of appreciation to Steph for making this project and countless more unbelievable opportunities available to Girl Scouts. Thank you for your support, encouragement, and belief in me.
Thank you also to Dr. Avid for being my Project Advisor and helping ensure that the techniques I cultivated would be helpful to teens and bringing the perspective of a clinical psychologist to the team. Thank you to my dad for being another set of eyes as an organizational psychologist and encouraging me to pursue stress in teens as a Gold Award Project. Thank you to our high school foundation and Ms. Leslie for giving me so many amazing ideas, helping to connect me to so many resources, and believing in me from the early stages of this project.
And my team! My wonderful, amazing, incredible team! I love you guys so much and could not have done this without you all. You are so talented and I cannot tell you enough how appreciative I am of your belief in me and willingness to donate your time to this project. Thank you to Angela for the graphic design of the booklet, Taylor for the outline of the website, Melissa for the creation of the videos, and Grace for helping me advertise. Thank you also to my team members across the country and across the world, for making these resources available internationally. Thank you for finding time to work on this project even when you had none, knowing that we would be making a worthwhile impact in the long run. You all were the keys that literally made my vision become a reality. I love you all so much!
Thank you also to Ms. Sandrine for editing the French translation of the booklet and providing a cultural insight, Mr. David for editing the Spanish translation of the booklet, and Mr. K for your support, letting us use your room for our team meetings, and for letting me work with ASB to bring these resources to our school. Thank you also to Ms. Ann and the PALs program for helping me organize and execute the presentations of the techniques to our entire student body, as well as keeping the booklets available to students in your office. Also a big thank you to my amazing troop--I love you guys and I'm so thankful to have grown up with you guys in the same troop since kindergarten! You are stellar and I love you all.
Another huge thank you to my friends and family across the globe for supporting me with this project. Your kind words of encouragement and help sharing this resource has been incredible.
One last quick shout out to all of the photographers who upload their photos to Unsplash.com: thank you for sharing your talent and letting us use your pictures!
Finally, thank you to everyone who checked out our booklets, website, and videos -- we hope this helps you stress less and enjoy life more!
